Tutus and ribbon sculptures posted on Etsy
Hello my lovelies! Sorry for the extended break. One of the kiddie and I were ailing from strep throat. Ewwwwww! I was laid down low for almost a week, but now I'm feeling better and found the time and energy to photograph and list some tutus ribbon sculptures on Etsy. I got the ladybug, bumblebee, dragonfly and flower posted! More to come soon... My hubs took over the computer before I could finish. In his defense, he is trying to figure something out for me.

Treasury Feature
This is why I love Etsy so much. The artists and crafters really support each other and I was lucky enough to have one of my items chosen for a treasury. For those of you who are unfamiliar, a treasury is a grouping of items chosen by a fellow Etsy-er and then are posted into the treasury for all to see. Its a great way to search for products on their site. So, thank you StitchesByJeni!

Ribbon sculptures
I love making ribbon sculptures. I think they are so cute and it's nice to see all that folding, sewing and gluing turn into an adorable little critter or flower. They are my new addiction and will be posted for sale in the next few days as hair clips. I will probably sell them as a set with one ribbon sculpture and one mini clip to match.
There are so many possibilities for these as well: attached to a headband, kufi hat, ruffle socks, T-shirts...
So many things on the to-do-list, so little bedtimes for the kids. :)

Must. Focus.
Really wishing I could spend all day at the sewing machine today. I've decided that I really need to focus my efforts and pick a few items to focus on for now. Before, I was really trying my hand at everything, trying to see what I was good at and what would sell in my Etsy shop. Needless to say, my inventory is all over the place in terms of what I have to offer. So, I think I'm going to stick with what I like to do best (for now) and possibly branch out later.
Sooooooo, for now, I'm going to stick to dresses, skirts, neckties and bow ties, ruffle socks, tutus, and basic hair bows/headbands. Of course, I will still take custom orders! If you've seen something somewhere that you like, send me a message and I will happily create it for you!

Today's New Projects
I tried my hand today at two new projects while the kiddos were sleeping. First I made a pair of ribbon ruffle socks. It was pretty difficult getting started, but once I got into it, it went really fast. I used some ribbon I had on hand, but these can be made in ANY color!!
Then I attempted a much easier project, that I am totally in love with. Ruffle ribbon headbands. Again, these can be made in ANY color combination and they are so, so, so cute!!
I really love the turquoise and kelly green look for the upcoming spring. So vibrant and pretty! And a break from from the beautiful-but-always-used-for-a-girl pink.
Again, I hope to get some really good pics of these soon so I can post them on Etsy! A good pic is a good sell!!! :)

New Pics Soon (Hopefully)
A good friend has offered to take some pics of the tutus I have made. Maybe I can get her to squeeze in some pics of a few other things as well! :) Hopefully, from this, I will be able to get some new things posted!!
Tons of stuff in the works: neck ties, headbands, dresses, tutus, even socks and belts!!

Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day is nearly upon us! And while I have missed the boat in getting any good photos of my pink and red tutus (or any of my tutus for that matter), I did manage to get some heart hair clips added.
Coupon code good until February 15th: VDAY2011 for 15% off your entire purchase!
Please check back often as I have a TON of stuff that I need to get posted. If only I could get some good pics!! Any budding photographers out there need to build a portfolio? I would highly consider trading services!
